Creating Special Moments

The last couple of days I've tried to do some special outings with Isabelle.  On Saturday my sister-in-law, Patty, and I took all of our girls out shopping and for frozen yogurt.  We had so much fun doing our own ladies' day out and including our girlies, who normally don't get to go.

You can't really tell from this picture, but the girls wanted to do an impromptu photo shoot inside the big red circle outside of Target.  I just liked Isabelle's facial expression...she's in awe of her older cousins!

Today Isabelle went to see the new Chipmunks movie with her Aunt Whitney and me.  I'm not sure what she enjoyed more, the movie or seeing the big Chipmunk figures outside of the theater.

For any parents who may be reading this post, I challenge you to find some activity out of the norm that you can do with your kids this week.  If possible, make it a one-on-one activity where your child has your complete attention.  It doesn't have to cost a lot of money.  It could be as simple as going on a walk or bike ride or taking your child out for an ice cream date.  Setting aside the time for these special moments is such an important investment into our children.
