A Change of Plans

A few days ago I thought that at this time, I would probably be in a car driving to our home in South Africa after a very long international flight.  Things didn't quite go as expected, so our family is still in the States as I write this.  Our trip has been extended into February as we and our team in Africa believe it is key for us to continue the fundraising for University Village from here in the States.

The decision to stay was a bit emotional for us as we have already been away from home since the beginning of December.  We miss our team, our home, our dog, and having our own space as a family.  But we believe that God is doing something in us through this process and we want to engage that and grow from it.  Our kids especially are happy to have a little more time with our family here!

As we are tired and feeling a bit weary, we proclaim that God is our strength.  When we don't necessarily know how to move forward or what the strategy needs to be with the fundraising, we believe that God has a plan and we believe that we will hear His voice directing us in the way we need to go.  When we believe we have done everything we can in our power to see the funds come in, that's when God shows up in a way that only He can and everyone knows that He is the one who is providing what Ten Thousand Homes needs to finalize the purchase of University Village.  When we feel like we can't go one more night sleeping in the same room together, we speak out that God's grace is sufficient for us.  We can do ALL things through Christ who gives us strength!   I ask for your continued prayers for our family for the remainder of our time in the States.  Please keep believing in faith with us for God's provision for University Village.
